Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage complex mechanical engineering projects across various domains, including design, development, testing, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, project leadership skills, and a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and development of products, systems, and components.

  • Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

  • Review and approve technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering change requests.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and quality to ensure design integration.

  • Supervise testing and validation activities; analyze data and recommend improvements.

  • Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.

  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget, scope, and schedule.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new designs and processes.

  • Adhere to industry codes, safety standards, and company quality procedures (ASME, ISO, etc.).

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders on technical matters.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s Degree is an added advantage).

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred (if applicable in region).


Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of materials, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with GD&T, FEA, and tolerance stack-up analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.) is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
